Kumon Publishing Review {GIVEAWAY}

**This is a sticky post, please scroll down for new posts :)**
**This contest will run from 8/3-8/9**

We were given the opportunity to review some educational books from Kimon Publishing and we were very impressed with the books we received!
About the Books (from the site):
KUMON WORKBOOKS AND LEARNING AIDS
introduce basic learning skills to children aged 2 through 6. Subjects covered include the alphabet and early reading/writing, counting, addition, subtraction, as well as pencil and scissors skills and fine motor control.
THE KUMON METHOD is what makes our Workbooks so unique and effective. This Method is a proven learning system developed in Japan to help each child reach his or her full potential. Concepts are introduced in a step-by-step manner that allows the child to master each in turn without getting frustrated. Before long, children gain confidence in their abilities and are motivated to learn on their own.
KUMON PUBLISHING has more than two decades of experience and editorial expertise in creating products that are fun and educational. Our illustrations engage and delight children, and we use only the highest quality paper and full-color printing. Kumon products offer unparalleled value in the field of educational publishing.

Ella has really enjoyed these great books! Her favorite is the My Book of PASTING: JIGSAW PUZZLES!!! She has spent endless hours cutting, pasting, and puzzling!! She has even been able to work on these independently!! I really like how the puzzle book has purpose, direction, and makes it interesting for the kid! This book allows the child to cut out the puzzle pieces (in increasingly challenging shapes) and then they have to find the specific place to paste them in the book after solving the puzzle. Lastly, they are left with a finished product that any child (and mommy) would be proud of displaying!

Giveaway:

We would like to share with you some of these great books!!

We are giving away the following TWO books:

Cat & Dog {from the 3D Paper Craft Series}

“You’re either a cat person or a dog person,” the saying goes. With this craft book, though, children don’t have to choose one or the other. All they have to do is have fun cutting, pasting and assembling their own personal pet (potty training not required). Ages 7 and up.

My First Book of CUTTING

Improving manual dexterity through activities such as paper cutting is beneficial in the development of the human brain. In this book, children gradually learn how to control scissors through step-by-step exercises that advance from easy shapes to more complex cutting patterns. Fine motor skills acquired through these fun cutting exercises help children learn to control pencils and crayons easily. Ages 3-5.

How to ENTER:

1. Leave a comment letting me know about your favorite summer projects you do with your children or visit Kumon and let me know what product you would like to try!

2. Subscribe via feed reader or email (and let me know in a seperate comment) and you will have an extra entry!!

3. Grab our button (and let me know in a seperate comment) and you will have another extra entry!!

I think my son would like the "My book of Easy Mazes." I love the products at their site. Especially the first book of cutting. I think my son could really benefit from that because he has a hard time with scissors.

My little one is just getting in to art and the most fun project we've tackled so far has been potato stamping. Mommy had to cut the designs in to the potato, but she loved dipping it into the paint and splatting it onto the paper!

I am completely thrilled with this giveaway. I've been looking for projects for my 3 year old to do when his older brother starts school. We do a lot baking and cooking together and I'm looking for some other educational types. I would love to have the entire set, but the tracing,& cutting would be great!

Those are really cool books. I'm going to have to put them on a Kaboodle list for my oldest for Christmas. I can't pick just one, they all look great. My son loves to craft and do creative things. I have a feeling we'll end up with all these books eventually.

One of my favorite summer projects with the little ones is coloring on the driveway with chalk and water. Very simple, yet lots of fun. I'd love to try any of the Kumon products since I've heard such great things about them. Thanks for the chance to win.

I'm a big fan of Kumon, the program, as well as the books. We did Kumon for almost a year with my now 6-year-old, and it truly helped with focus and attention span. Our Kumon Center closed down or we would still be participating.

I like the looks of the cutting book!

We've had lots of fun working on 'school' work this summer. We also enjoy just hanging out together, wherever we may be! This summer it has taken us to North Carolina, on a cruise, and to Southside Virginia!

My favorite summer project is our garden. The kids help plant seeds and dig up radishes, beets, and carrots. We build a tee-pee shaped form to plant our green beans around so that they vine up and create a bean tent for the kids to play in. Our cucumber arch does the same. The kids love to play in the garden and I love sharing it with them.

The Kumon line looks like great educational fun--I'd never heard of them before. The paper projects (building the animals etc.) look like they would keep my older two entertained for hours. We'd love to try any though as I regularly buy various educational booklets for them to work on at home. Thanks!

I love the Kumon books, though I've only looked at them, never bought (hubby says too expensive). So I;'d love to win some! My kids love art projects, so they'd be all over the cutting and pasting books! :-)

My daughter got a neat picture frame project from her grandma. It had mosaic pieces that you had to put on the sticky parts of the frame. She loved it and it came out beautiful.

This summer we did a neat project. We called it "the sun week" and we did all sorts of things that involved the sun. We made sun tea, made a sun dial, made sun prints (putting items with neat shapes on a pc of construction paper, and letting it fade in the sun. When you take the items off, it makes neat patterns where the paper didnt fade). The kids loved working on projects that had a theme :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Kumon Products - I used them quite a bit when my daughter was 3 - 4. I would love to start using them again now that she is going to 1st grade! I love the summers with my daughter - there is nothing better than frolicking in the pool with a 6 year old! Thanks for the great giveaway!

Oh, I know DD would love the My first book of money, couting coins. She is fascinated with money lol but keeps mixing up what is what & their values. Since she is only 4 we haven't done a lot of work on money but this looks like a great book to try first (and she adores workbooks!). Might have to put that on a wishlist so I don't forget!
Our family's favorite summer project is probably makign the freezer bag ice cream - super easy that she can do it 'herself' which is a huge matter of pride at this age.
Here I came by Blogging the Recession & found a great new product...love it! Thanks!

Hi there!
I would like to burn a theme at this forum. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of financial piramyde, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For several years , I make money with the help of these programs.
I don't have problems with money now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I make 2G daily, and my first investment was 500 dollars only.
Right now, I'm very close at catching at last a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Turn to my web site to get additional info.
