ASGO (Autism Society of Greater Orlando) gets a good percentage of our charitable donations, since we take part in so many of their activities. PBS is another one, then Goodwill, several schools I've graduated from, and a good handful of others. Passing it forward, the way I see it...

The charity I most admire is the Parents Project for Muscular Dystrophy.

My wife works hard, coordinating clinical research, medical trials for cancer meds and protocols, so it feels like we're donating in THAT direction on almost a daily basis -- but the lion's share of our charitable donations goes to our local Autism group, the Autism Society of Greater Orlando.

Darn -- I just realized/remembered -- while we typically donate several items a year to their fund-raiser raffles and auctions, I think we haven't been itemizing carefully... Ah, well, what goes around comes around...

I am passionate about the Epilepsy Foundation, Organ Donation and Caccoon House.

My 18 year old son with epilepsy after having an unwitnessed fall went into a deep coma.He had told his friends that he wanted to be an organ donor. Because of his openness with his friends and family our son helped others as he died.

He loved his peers and helped many when their families rejected them. Caccoon House helps teens have a safe place to stay and gives them skills to succeed.

The Kiwi House of Joy will always have the biggest place in my heart. It is a small group home in Romania for babies whose parents abandoned them at the hospital...usually because of some health problem that they couldn't afford to take care of. After personally working there for six months a couple years ago and getting to know and love those babies, it will always be the first place I think of when a donation is in order.

We are supporters of the Silesian Missions. My sister in law worked in Rwanda with this Catholic group. She helped children orphaned by the strife there and it is a wonderful organization.

Unfortunately, because of some recent losses in our lives we have grown close to several charities i.e. American Heart Association, Alzheimers Foundation, and the American Cancer Association. I counsel families with autistic children in my work so Autism Speaks also is a cause near and dear to my heart. And finally my mother and grandmother were both diagnosed with Breast Cancer (thankfully my mother is still with us) so I also care deeply about the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

NANCM is a Florida based non-profit focused on women without custody of their children. I have a sister who is a NCM, simply because she had not the money her ex did. It is heartbreaking for any parent to be without their children. NANCM exists to help and encourage women who have lost their children in divorce or a nasty custody battle. They promote healthy co-parenting above all else and are working to build relationships with organizations that focus on the non-custodial fathers. Great organization!!

Thanks for offering this wonderful giveaway! Good luck to everyone!

Even though I have never donated to it the charity I am most passionate about is the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. I love music so much and can't imagine what my childhood would have been like without a good music education. That's why I feel the VH1 Save the Music Foundation is so important. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win. Thanks.

Thank you for the contest!! I am extremely passionate for the March of Dimes Charity.

I actually volunteer here at our local chapter approving grants for different programs.

MOD was there for me every step of the way when my son was born premature. I was undeducated about premature babies, and had no guidance. The March of Dimes reached out to me and were by my side when my son finally left the hospital.

I can honestly say that without them, my son wouldn't be here today. With their research and outreach programs to educate pregnant women and medical professionals alike, I was awarded the best gift of ever, motherhood.
