My husband has a loss of hearing in the high frequency range and can't hear the beeping sound of the digital thermometer so he can't tell when it is working or when it is done. This would be great for him.

I like Exergen's accuracy, best of all but the fact that you can take a temp without waking the child is very important.
I like that it is so easy to use, and that is so reliable.
This is so much more pleasant than the rectal variety for all involved parties.
What I like best is that it takes 1,000 scans per second and picks the most accurate!

It's just so easy to use and so accurate, too.
My favorite feature is that it's non-invasive and quick. Taking the temp of a sick, squirmy or sleeping kid is a pretty big task as it is. This would help a lot.

I love how you get an accurate reading so quickly. I threw away my cheap thermometers that kept failing me, bought a glass one, with the mercury line in it, and when I was shaking it to get the line down, it flew out of my hands and broke in the bathtub. Now I just use my hand as a fever checker.

I like that it can be used by my teens. Not glass, no mercury, no body fluids. That its a safe way to monitor temperature.
I have teens and older children with grandchildren. My
daughter in law is a first time mother and the first month of
my grandsons life she took his temp daily. She carries a
thermometer in her purse.
My daughter who is 17 wants to be a pediatric surgeon and
says she was told in her medical skills class that they no longer use rectal or mouth for temps in many facilities. So with my
grandsons visiting this would be so nice to have at home even
my husband could actually read it correctly.
