It's a fully-integrated resource portal to help you and your family stay safe this holiday season.

My father insisted we buy only UL listed products - he worked in the wire industry and UL was the safest you could buy!

i learned Steer your tree clear: Your tree should be positioned at least three feet away from fireplaces, radiators and other heat sources. It should also not block any doorways or exits.

main entry: I learned about not overloading your watt usage which said" Avoid Overload: Check for overloaded extension cords – usage should not exceed the recommended wattage." I saw this happen to my mom when I was very small as she plugged in the last too many cords it blew fire and melted the cord right up to her hand withinseconds so fast she barely had time to throw it down. That haunting memorie stuck with me so I constantly now think about wattage safety. Great info on their site. thanks

Learned several things that should be common sense but often in the hustle of day to day living are missed. The first is really hit home because we have an active two-year-old in the family. I learned that if you have young children in your home that bookshelves and other furniture should be firmly secured with wall brackets to prevent tipping. I know I would breathe a lot easier if we did that right away.
