Back-To-School with Walmart

We go through lots of school supplies at our house! With two teachers and two students one of us in ALWAYS in need of some type of school supplies! We are always on the lookout for the best deal for our complete back-to-school shopping list! We are busy so we don't have time to run to ten different stores to get the one item on sale. We were recently challenged by Walmart to find a complete list of school supplies for a cheaper price at any other retailer!

First, we decided on the items we needed. We then shopped both places for the following 12 items:

Our total for these 12 supplies at Wal-mart was only $9.84!!! Less than $10 for 12 back-to-school supplies!! What a deal!! I don't shop the Dollar General Store often but the last time I was in there I noticed that they had a large selection of name brand school supplies so I decided to give them a try! I was sure that my total at the Dollar Store was going to be very similar to my Walmart. I even had a coupon for $5 off my purchase but even if $5 off my total still came to $15.50 ~ so all together Walmart was almost $11 cheaper than the Dollar General Store!!!
