My Purple Toes

We really love books at our house so the whole family is extremely happy when we are offered a new book to review! Ella was especially excited when this book arrived! Painting her toe nails is one of her favorite things to do lately so she was totally interested just by seeing the cover! Then, we read the story and she loved the story just as much as the cover :) I really enjoyed the story as well! The teacher in me is always in such of a good picture that teaches some of life's important lessons!
“My Purple Toes” is a light-hearted children’s story about enjoying life, being true to oneself and accepting others. Written by nationally recognized lawyer Blair Hahn, the board book tells a playful story about a real experience the author had with his family and features imaginative illustrations including a friendly-frog that hides on each page.

Ella just loved that the daddy had purple painted toenails! She loved looking throughout the book for the dad's toes in various places. Also, the friendly frog with purple toes that hides on each page was really fun for her as well. This is such an entertaining book that kids of all ages will enjoy and appreciate it!

"My Purple Toes" can be purchased online for only $10.99! We are so excited for the next book in this series, "My Purple Kisses," that will be released in time for Valentine's Day 2011.

We were also thrilled to learn that "My Purple Toes" donates a significant portion of its proceeds to benefit children in the United States and around the world through nonprofit, Soles4Souls, which collects and distributes shoes at no cost to people in need.
We suggest that you check this book out today!

This post was written for Family Review Network & My Purple Toes who provided the complimentary product in exchange for my honest review.

Mary Kay Cosmetics Organic Skin Care Suggestions

You will find a number of points your are capable of doing to enhance the texture, elasticity and appearance of the skin. The very first 3actions are an important foundation to flawless skin.Regardless of how much you pay for expensive moisturizers that promise more youthful, glamorous looking smooth skin, should you don't do the 3step cleansing routine (cleanse, tone & moisturize), it is not likely that these products will have any real benefit to the skin on your face.

1. Cleanse - Start your skin careregimen with a cleanser, by Mary KayCosmetics. That's it! No additives that can cause irritation to your skin especially if you have sensitive skin. You can use the Mary Kay Cosmetics cleanser by simply wetting your skin to rinse. Remove the cleanser by using a MaryKay® Facial Cleansing Cloths.

2. Tone - Next, using cotton wool and Mary Kay Purifying Freshener to take off the last traces of facial cleanser and tone the skin. Have you tried Flower Waters? They areextremely advantageous to the health of your skin as they are organic and contain anti-bacterial properties which reduce bacteria growing which in turn stops rashes and spots. Some also have astringent properties which close pores, and make the skin much more toned. Some great ones to try are good old water - cold, rosewater (good for mature skin too), orange flower water andnaturalwitch hazel. Avoid toners with alcohol as these will dryout your skin which will skimp on your efforts.

3. Moisturise - This step is critical to healthy skin. You need to replace lost moisture to the skin and this is best done with Mary Kay Balancing Moisturizer Cream to suit your skin type. The most common are sensitive skin, oily skin, dry skin and combination skin, so look out for these descriptions when purchasing creams.

4. Sun Cream - Stay out away from the sun - UV rays induce the skin to age, consequentlyuse a factor that is appropriate for your skin type for maximum sun protection. Mary Kay Sun Care Collection is an exceptional choice.

5. Avoid Free Radicals - What are they? See our write-up on free radicals for further facts, but in a few words the yare substances that set off the skin to grow older and crease. Use Anti-oxidants tocombat free radicals that age the skin. Vitamin A, C & E are especially useful in addition to coconut and olive oil. A handful of almonds are loaded with sufficient vitamin E to counteract free radicals.

6. Water - yes, drinking water really does help to remove toxins and re-hydrate your skin. Roughly 2 litres per day (8x 250ml glasses).

7. Serums - These are nourishing oils with an ingredient to help carry the oils into the deeper levels of the skin so theyenhance the tone and elasticity. It is best to use the treatment twice a day, once in the early morning a few minutes before you moisturise and again before you go to bed so that it can do its work whilst you sleep. Mary Kay Cosmetics TimeWise® Replenishing Serum+C is an excellent choice.

8. Face Mask - Use a Mary Kay TimeWise® Even Complexion Mask as a weekly treatment.

9. Rest - Sleep is one of the best things you can do for your skin.

These suggestions ought to not be used as a one off, butincorporated into a regular skin care routine for best effects.
