Itty-Bitty Bookworms {Giveaway}

**This is a sticky post, this giveaway runs from October 6-13th**

Would you like to start teaching your preschool child at home but unsure of where to start? I highly suggest that you check out The Itty-Bitty Bookworm!!

The Itty-Bitty Bookworm is a Literature-based Preschool Curriculum For Young Minds Everywhere!! This is the story of a magical mentor who sparks bright, young minds with a single lesson. An extraordinary educator whose colorful stories weave knowledge through young imaginations…
Who is this wise and witty teacher making enlightenment look so effortless?
Why…it’s you!
The magic of The Itty-Bitty Bookworm is in the simple, organized, teach-it-yourself curriculum. It’s a literature-based program on CD that does all the planning for you, so you can focus on what's important ~ your children. The Itty-Bitty Bookworm is committed to excellence and devoted to the basic tenet that quality education can be enjoyable, too! Their program is specifically designed for children ages 18 months - 5 years of age, and tailored to meet the unique needs of in-home preschools, family child-care centers, child development centers and home-schooling families.

Wondering what's included on their CDs?
Click here for more info about our Bo Curriculum CDs (for 3-5 year olds).

Curriculum: Difficult to spell, easy to follow at The Itty-Bitty Bookworm, “curriculum” is just a fancy-pants word for roadmap. They think childhood is a journey, and most kids just need a little guidance now and then to really come into their own. With their curriculum you can expect to see your child(ren):
Develop a love of books
Expand her creativity
Excited about learning
Self-confident
Experiment and play
Prepared for Kindergarten

The Brains Behind the Bookworm are former early childhood educators, who understand the importance of a curriculum based on reliable research. Therefore, while designing and writing their curriculum they kept the following aspects at the front of their minds:
Children who are read to have an advantage in school.
Children who learn to read early tend to be those who have books and have been taught to value them.
Shared reading, offering children a variety of print materials, and positive attitudes toward literacy promote early literacy skills.
Books activate prior knowledge making learning new information easier.

Because research shows us time and time again just how important books and reading are to children, they have based their curriculum on popular children's books. Each week of curriculum will focus on a different storybook. The activities will coordinate with the themes of each book, as well.

While you are there make sure you check out their Free Resources Page!!

Also, check out Tara's Blog at Raising Itty-Bitty Bookworms (she has TONS of great giveaways going on now :)!!!!! They are having a giveaway everyday this week, Mon, Wed, and Fri next week, and Mon. and Wed every week after. Be sure to check them out!!!!!

The letter activity sheets would be really helpful for my little one. We've been working a lot on numbers and letters at home, but it would be great to have something that could provide more ideas. Thanks for the giveaway!

Those lesson plans look great! It's always hard for me to think up what I should teach my son, so we end up doing the same ol' thing every day.

This is such an awesome resource! I've been wanting something just like this, so you could imagine how excited I was to find this! I think the large, letter outlines for collages/mosaics would be great to be able to help my children learn to recognize the letters better.

I think the learning centers and the nursery rhymes/poems that coorespond to the monthly activities would be a huge help. I usually rely on other's ideas for the morre hands on activities that really firm up concepts to for my kiddies. And I'm really not poetic, so anything in the realm helps me:)
