The series is entitled “Just Because You’re Pregnant…”. Each week, they will offer an article to help clear the wives tales and fallacies that are incorporated with being pregnant.
Sad to say, but we are already in the middle of summer! Time flies when you’re having fun. Now is the time that you need to stop complaining about the 85 degree weather and start taking advantage of the sunshine, ice cream, and most importantly summer sales! Fortunes abound if you know where to find them and being pregnant, you can reap in rewards just like everyone else. Here are some steals and deals to help you enjoy the dog days of summer before they are gone:
•Outdoor fests- love or leave’em they seem to pop up everywhere during this season! Whether you live in the city or out in the country, you can be sure to find a great festival to attend to on any given weekend. From art festivals to food festivals and even state fairs, this activity is a wonderful way to get out of the house and to relish in summer fun. Indulge in a delicious funnel cake or all types of fried food on a stick, and you and your belly will be glad you came. Best part of all is that most festivals are free or are affordable so you won’t have to break the bank.
• Want to do something out of the ordinary?
*Pack a picnic and head to an outdoor park for a concert or look in the newspaper for a drive in movie.
* Bring a blanket and some dessert, then head to the beach for a romantic rendezvous under the stars.
* “Go glamping” and head “outdoors” meaning your back yard- roast hotdogs, have a bonfire with smores, and pitch a tent if you are feeling earthy- this one is particularly fun if you have kids, but you might want to head indoors when its pj time…Don’t worry, the bathroom and electricity are only a few steps away…Roughing it while preggers? We don’t think so…
• S-A-L-E! Need we say more? Summer sales are everywhere right now in all types of departments. Cars, Furniture, and even clothing are being offered right now at steep discounts. Our personal favorite sale for pregnant ladies is going on right now at Moody Mamas. Summer’s hottest styles are almost being given away with sales ranging between 30-70% off most of the site. Great thing about this sale is that these clothes are perfect for transitioning into fall, especially considering you’ll be schvitzing ‘til the end of maternity…
