Back2School Tips from Parents Magazine

It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over and it’s back to school time! Parents.com has updated its site with helpful ideas to make the transition easier for you, including secrets for your child’s school success and things you, as a parent, can do to help your child be successful.

I found the suggestions for what to pack in a healthy lunchbox to be very beneficial! This is something that is always a challenge for me. The site offers child-tempting recipes for healthy brain food, such as hummus with child-size veggies, sweet-potato chips, and salad scoops made with corn chips. Kids will also like the lunchbox snacks, such as nutty popcorn and fruit mix.

If you have a child going to school for their very first day, you may experience separation anxiety. Parents.com suggests activities to do before the first day, such as playing pretend school, introducing school mates prior to the first day, and visiting the school before the first day.
This is a great site that contains a wealth of knowledge! We highly suggestion that you check it out!
